We won the Duke Trophy! First time since 2001.
In spite of coming from three separate rinks and with
only two team training sessions, the 2008 NSW Duke Trophy Team showed a really great
team spirit during the Duke Trophy competition on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July
at Boondall Iceworld in Queensland. A major contributor to the team's success were the skater’s parents whose cheering certainly
helped to keep up the skaters’ energy levels right to the end.
Said the team coach, Maggie Holland, "There were many
instances of camaraderie and helpfulness from one team member to the other. It was
terrific to see how supportive they all were."
